I felt trapped in a body I didn’t recognize, carrying 227 lbs of pain, regret, and dreams I thought were gone for good.
My husband had left me for someone younger… someone thinner. His words about my weight? I heard them in my head every day.
Alone in a small apartment, I stared into the mirror and barely saw myself at all.
No matter how much water I drank or how consistent I was with exercise, the bloating always came back.
